I awoke to find you there. You were sitting there smiling at me. We spent or time catching up, embracing new beginnings. A piece of me died in that paradise when awoke to realize…it was only a dream with a storm brewing outside in a gesture of understanding. Your smile flooded in unprompted but welcomed. The memory was a welcome relief from the cruel fantasy of a vivid dream.
