Nikki XXXVII

She was content in heaven. It was calm, quiet, and patient. In the absence of conflict, a piece of that wild heart began to slip away. It was nothing more than an innocent desire to preserve the wild that was left. She began reaching out for more. More brought conflict, friction—and storms. Heaven was the last place she ever expected to find one. Yet it came, tossing her to and from. From signs and numbers to synchronicities and people she never expected to find. Light radiated out forcing flowers to bloom. Banishing shadows and filling the world with color and truth. Even with all of this—she still looks over her shoulder from time to time and remembers fondly the gentleness of Heaven with the knowledge that none of us are meant to live forever.
